How do credit bureaus work?
|
Credit bureaus, also called credit-reporting agencies, gather information on the status of credit accounts and sell the information in the form of credit reports to banks, finance companies, and retail stores. Credit bureaus maintain information on individual’s debt and how often the debt is repaid and the payment history. Payment data is sent monthly by creditors to credit bureaus to reflect each account-holder’s balance and payment status, as well as any action taken to collect overdue payments. What develops over time is a payment history of the activity on each person’s credit accounts. Look into the advantages of becoming a Member and having access to qualified legal and financial advisors to answer all of your technical questions.
